Privacy Policy
This policy covers Ideallab's internal tools that connect to Google APIs. Today that is one tool: it takes lecture recordings stored in Google Drive, trims the empty bars around the picture, saves the audio as a separate file, and puts the results back in the same Drive.
What we access
- Files and folders in the Google Drive of the account that authorized the tool. The tool reads the names, types and sizes of files in the folders it is set up to process, downloads those video files, and uploads the processed video and audio files.
- We do not access Gmail, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service, and we do not collect your name or profile information.
How we use it
- Only to process the recordings and save the results back to your own Drive. Original files are never changed or deleted.
- Processing happens on a computer that Ideallab operates. Downloaded and processed copies are deleted as soon as the upload finishes, and in any case within 7 days.
- The access token Google issues is stored on that computer, readable only by the account that runs the tool.
Sharing
We do not sell, share or transfer Google user data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI or machine learning models.
Ideallab's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can revoke the tool's access at any time from your Google Account's third-party connections. Once access is revoked the tool can no longer read or write your Drive.
